The fridge (refrigerator) has a defective door. In july I ordered a replacement...in Sanremo Italy (there seems to be no repar shops here in Nice).
As the part has now arrived, I decided to go and pick it up today...

Yes...there was a funivia, a ropeway, in Sanremo. Built in 1937 it was then the longer such thing in europe.
And the view from "Monte Brignone", some 1200 mts up, should have been stunning:
Well, it appears that what was a great turistic attraction for Sanremo in the '30 (of last century) was shutdown in 1980, and the numerous studies aimed at rebuilding it remained...paper.
So -- I discovered some history of Sanremo, and reconfirmed that we italians do not deserve our past (being unable not only to build upon it, but even to preserve it).
Ah -- of course the part for my fridge arrived wrong (wrong p/n delivered by Ariston) and I have to make the trip again next week. On my expenses.
