I just received a scan, a digital scan of an old 8mm film that we discovered when emptying my mom's house.
In a way I "have" to share it here, so two pictures and a section of the movie are posted here.
And I wonder....by using a simple "telecine" process we can make a 1960 film viewable today.
And mind you, not Super8, this is a "regular" or "normal" 8.
What about our digital files ?
Will they be usable in 2050? Or will the ".qt", ".avi", ".mpg" formats be totally unreadable?
Anyway, here are Renato, Grazia, and a picture (taken today) of the other component of their family, Mitzi (the other still alive, beside myself).
Mitzi is shown here very puzzled after the decision by the chinese to call this the "Year of the Tiger" (instead of the cat!)
